About
Founded 1983
The Washington Defender Association (WDA) is dedicated to equipping attorneys, investigators, and social workers who represent low-income individuals within the Washington court system with essential training and resources. As a strong proponent of public defense in the region, WDA actively engages in advocacy efforts by testifying before legislative bodies, participating in appellate court proceedings, and collaborating with the bar association as well as other organizations committed to reforming criminal justice policies.
