About
Founded 1973
The WashULaw Black Law Students Association (BLSA) is dedicated to uplifting its members by prioritizing the well-being and aspirations of Black students navigating their law school journey. Established in 1973, our organization has consistently demonstrated a deep-rooted commitment to serving the St. Louis community. Each year, we organize events that foster community spirit alongside a range of academic, professional, and social initiatives. For the 2023-2024 term, BLSA is anchored by three fundamental pillars: camaraderie, inclusivity, and active participation. Our mission focuses on cultivating a vibrant network of Black professionals and graduate scholars from diverse backgrounds and experiences. We are also eager to create ample networking opportunities while nurturing connections among our members within St. Louis’ thriving environment. We invite everyone—ranging from alumni to prospective students or anyone curious about our group—to stay updated on WashU BLSA’s activities through this website as well as via our new Instagram account (@blsawashulaw) and email newsletters.
