About
The Moot Court Honor Society at American University's Washington College of Law is an esteemed component of the nation's acclaimed fifth-ranked trial advocacy program. With a diverse array of events, the Society offers students valuable chances to hone their skills in oral argumentation and legal writing. Competing in around fifteen tournaments both domestically and abroad, our teams regularly secure honors for their briefs and individual performance, along with achieving success at regional and national levels. The Society also organizes the Burton D. Wechsler First Amendment Moot Court Tournament, drawing law students from over 25 institutions nationwide. Furthermore, WCL hosts internal moot court competitions exclusively for its own student body.
