Women's Intellectual Property Lawyers Association (WIPLA)

The Women's Intellectual Property Lawyers Association (WIPLA) serves as a dynamic community for IP law professionals based primarily in the San Francisco Bay Area, fostering connections and advocacy within our field. Established in 2007, WIPLA includes nearly 100 members at various career stages—ranging from eager students with a keen interest in patent, trademark, and copyright issues to solo practitioners and lawyers of all levels across different firms, as well as corporate counsel and government representatives. Our mission is to cultivate a supportive network that enhances the prestige and respect afforded to women within the intellectual property legal landscape. Through engaging discussions and valuable updates, we aim to enrich our members' experiences while creating an empowering atmosphere for personal and professional growth among women leaders in this domain.
