He has also achieved a remand from the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. Beyond his vigorous representation in court as a trial attorney, Mr. Ybarra Maldonado shares his expertise as a public speaker on immigration issues and is the author of "Born on the Border: Minutemen Vigilantes, Origins of Arizona's Anti-Immigrant Politics," which advocates for enhanced civil disobedience. Additionally, he serves as a board member for Los Abogados where he co-chairs its Civil Rights Committee; holds non-residential fellow status at Stanford Center for Internet and Society; and acts as litigation liaison with the American Immigration Lawyers Association’s Arizona Chapter.
