His journey into the legal domain commenced at a specialized litigation firm, where Rod honed his skills across a spectrum of legal fields including insurance defense, criminal, family, commercial, and estate litigation. His educational pursuits in law took him from the classrooms of Bond University in Australia, where he excelled to the top of his class, to practical experiences in the bustling legal scenes of Vancouver and Shanghai. Here, Rod expanded his corporate law knowledge by interning at prominent firms, laying a foundation for his versatile legal expertise.

Engaging in the legal battlefield, Rod has steered the helm in three trials as the lead counsel and supported as a secondary counsel in numerous others. His legal acumen has been showcased across various levels of the Canadian judiciary, including the Provincial and Supreme Courts of British Columbia, the British Columbia Court of Appeal, and even the Supreme Court of Canada. Beyond the courtroom, Rod's advisory skills have come to the fore in major construction projects, guiding owners through the legalities of $200M ventures, and offering his expertise to both owners and contractors in a myriad of smaller-scale projects.
