Avi Charney

Avi Charney is an estate lawyer and a business lawyer in Toronto. He handles estate planning for ClearWay Law. He is available to meet clients both in downtown Toronto and in North York (where his main office is.)

She is moving in the direction of practicing exclusively solicitor work, which includes estate planning (wills, trusts and power of attorneys), estate administration, and corporate law (and no litigation).

He is very direct with clients. He believes this is the best philosophy to ensure he delivers to his client’s satisfaction.

Estate law can be complex and emotional. There is usually a lot of assets on the table, and also your relations with your family. It is important to act in a way that is supported by the law and facts, instead of greed. Having a knowledgeable 3rd party (like an estate lawyer) can help look at things subjectively.

Estate disputes are unique in that there may be many lawyers involved, each representing the individual parties.

Avi Charney does not work on contingency. His practice is based on an hourly rate. That being said, he only takes on cases that he feels have a good chance of being successful. He is able to determine this based on his many years of estate experience.

ClearWay Law has lawyers that practice in different areas of law. If your case has multiple issues, Mr. Charney might be able to work with one of our other lawyers on your case to resolve all the issues.
