Chantalle Sawision represents and advises clients on all issues related to family law, including: Divorce; Child Custody & Access; Spousal Support and Child Support; Division of Property; Separation Agreements; Domestic Contracts; Religious Marriage Contracts; and Cross-Border/International family law issues. Her main priority is to be your partner through legal disputes, not just your legal counsel. Chantalle particularly enjoys working with clients on matters involving the complex intermingling of family law and corporate law.
Chantalle regularly appears and litigates before all levels of the court in the Province of Ontario. She also represents clients in complex negotiations, mediation, and arbitration proceedings.
In her spare time, Chantalle discusses the topic of Dating, Divorce, Prenuptial Agreements, Common Law & Finances on Talk Radio, AM 640.
Chantalle is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Ontario Bar Association and The Advocates’ Society. Chantalle obtained her B.A. from Sir Wilfrid Laurier in Waterloo, Ontario. Her undergraduate experience included studying European Integration in Berlin and Comparative Politics and law in Tuscany through the University of Toronto. It was during this time that Ms. Sawision was one of eighteen students selected by the Dean of Wilfrid Laurier to participate in a research specialization in the area of Legal Studies.
After being called to the Ontario Bar, she articled with the reputable family firm in Toronto’s Financial District and went on to become an Associate Lawyer and Notary Public. Chantalle then went on to work at a large full service multinational firm, with locations across Canada and the United States.
A skilled negotiator and advocate, Chantalle has helped numerous clients reach satisfying settlements and successfully argued on behalf of her clients on a variety of family law issues.
In addition to her role as an advocate, Chantalle is also experienced in Alternative Dispute Resolution and has assisted parties in reaching fair and reasonable settlements in an amicable and cost-effective manner. Chantalle also has experience in drafting wills and dealing with cross-border issues.
