Toronto Family Lawyer

Going through a separation or divorce can be one of the most difficult times in your life, especially when children are involved. We offer alternative dispute resolution such as mediation and arbitration to help you achieve an agreement without having to go to court. When an agreement cannot be reached, one of our experienced lawyers will represent you through court proceedings, providing you with guidance and support throughout the process. However, if you prefer to represent yourself in court, we offer self-representation coaching so you are prepared when entering the courtroom.

Whether you require a separation agreement, custody of your children or financial support. we will provide a ClearWay forward.

Separation & Divorce

There are many things to consider when going through a separation or divorce. If you have children, you will need to agree on custody and access arrangements, child support, as well as a parenting plan. A division of assets will need to take place and spousal support may be required.

Mediation and/or Arbritration

At ClearWay Law, we feel it is important to keep you out of the courtroom if possible. We work with you and your spouse to mediate an agreement that both parties can live with. We find arbitration is also less stressful on the family and can reduce your legal costs.

Family Agreements

Having an agreement in place prior to getting married is important. Whether you are moving in with your significant other and need a cohabitation agreement or are getting married and would like a prenuptial agreement, our lawyers can ensure you are covered.

Self-Representation Coaching

Research shows that people who represent themselves in court are not as successful as those who use a lawyer. If you still choose to represent yourself, make sure you are prepared by working with one of our coaches who can walk you through the process.
