Founded in 1865 by William E. Simonds, Alix, Yale & Ristas, LLP has a rich legacy deeply rooted in history. A Civil War veteran and graduate of Yale Law School hailing from Canton, Connecticut, Mr. Simonds made notable contributions during his career which included authoring several publications and serving as a representative for Connecticut in the Fifty-First Congress as well as holding the position of Commissioner of Patents from 1891 to 1893.
