About
Founded 2020
The American Muslim Bar Association (AMBA) serves as a national collective of legal professionals, attorneys, and those aspiring to enter the field, bringing together individuals from diverse racial, ethnic, and gender backgrounds. Our organization is dedicated to upholding the law and championing justice across both public domains and private life. Inspired by the core values exemplified by Ahlul Bayt—the Prophet Muhammad's family (peace be upon them)—we focus on love, compassion, mercy, and fairness in all our efforts. With six active committees addressing advocacy, policy formation, mentorship programs; access to legal resources; educational initiatives; and judiciary matters—AMBA pursues four key goals: - To equip underserved populations with essential legal support; - To advocate for equality under the law for all individuals seeking justice; - To nurture future generations of Muslim American lawyers through mentorship opportunities; and - To enhance community understanding of important legal concepts through education.
