American University Mock Trial Program

The Mock Trial Team at American University, proudly hosted by the School of Public Affairs, is a distinguished and award-winning organization recognized on a national level. Positioned impressively at 82nd among more than 700 teams nationwide, this team nurtures aspiring advocates who are committed performers and eloquent speakers while fostering lasting connections. Participating in competitive trial simulations against peers from various universities allows students to enhance their critical thinking abilities and public speaking prowess while gaining invaluable insights into legal practices and procedures. Members frequently travel across the United States to participate in over twelve tournaments each year, facing off against some of the country’s leading institutions.
