At American University's Washington College of Law (WCL), the International Trade and Investment Law Society (ITILS) stands out as one of the most dynamic student organizations. This society unites students who share a passion for trade and international investment law. ITILS fosters robust relationships with WCL alumni as well as professionals in the global trade community, extending its outreach beyond Washington, DC. Each semester, they organize a variety of events focused on international trade practices, investment strategies, and arbitration processes—creating valuable networking opportunities for students to engage with experts and faculty members alike. Additionally, ITILS proudly sponsors a group of students annually to compete in the WTO Moot Competition organized by the European Law Students Association (ELSA).
