About
Founded 2018
Ajit Dang established Averis in 2018, building on a strong foundation of legal expertise gained during his ten years at Fish & Richardson, one of the preeminent patent litigation firms in the U.S. There, he honed his skills in intricate patent disputes within both ITC and district courts across various technologies—including CMOS image sensors and cellular as well as Wi-Fi systems—to turbocharger designs. His comprehensive knowledge spans every stage of litigation from initial investigations to appeals before the Federal Circuit. Prior to launching his own firm, Mr. Dang held an externship with Justice Cantero III at the Florida Supreme Court and also accumulated significant business acumen alongside engineering experience through roles in software development and network engineering prior to embarking on a law career. While pursuing computer science at Stetson University, he contributed as a PHP/MySQL application developer for his institution while simultaneously working as a network engineer for one of Florida's leading IT consulting companies and serving as a network administrator for hedge fund operations. At Averis today, Mr. Dang’s focus remains steadfastly on patent litigation and licensing activities that encompass risk assessment, valuation inquiries, along with intellectual property consulting services tailored to client needs—leveraging extensive experience managing teams through high-pressure cases to deliver strategic solutions throughout various critical phases of patent disputes—and applying significant licensing insights for effective risk evaluation processes related to patents.
