Hailing from Cape Girardeau, Trae is an alumnus of Cape Central High School and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Economics as well as a Master’s in Business Administration from Southeast Missouri State University. He also obtained his Juris Doctorate from The University of Tulsa. During law school, he gained valuable experience interning at the Cape County Prosecutor's Office where he contributed to both misdemeanor and felony casework. Trae has represented numerous clients before juries across Southeast Missouri with a successful track record. Together with his wife Rachel (Hessenkemper), they are proud parents to three daughters and active members at LaCroix United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau. Committed to enriching southeast Missouri through service initiatives such as: - Chairing the Cape Girardeau Planning and Zoning Board (2006 - present; Chairman 2012-2014) - Participation within multiple local chambers including those for the area chamber commerce - Serving on the board for United Way since 2012 - Collaborating with committees like Old Town Cape, Trae is also involved with community leadership programs such as Leadership Jackson & LeadershipCape Class of 2006 while holding various roles within organizations like Jaycees (President 2007–2010)and Lions Club among others.
