In 2015, Rose Mukhar established Justice At Last, the only independent nonprofit legal organization in the San Francisco Bay Area dedicated exclusively to addressing the legal needs of survivors across all demographics—irrespective of age, gender, nationality or type of trafficking. At Justice At Last, we offer complimentary and thorough legal representation that prioritizes dignity while being survivor-focused and attentive to cultural sensitivities. Our approach is informed by trauma and grounded in human rights principles. We operate with mobility in mind; our team travels to meet survivors where they are receiving assistance throughout various counties including Alameda, Contra Costa, Fresno, Sacramento, San Francisco, San Mateo Council,and Santa Clara County. In addition to direct services for individuals affected by labor trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation ,we provide targeted training programs designed to empower these survivors toward transformative change in their lives. Our vision at Justice At Last is for each survivor of human trafficking not just to seize justice on their own terms but also flourish through it as they define what justice means personally for them.
