From an early age, Sergio aspired to pursue a legal career. He earned his degree at St. Edward's University in Austin, actively engaging in volunteer work that supported displaced immigrants and youth facing challenges. Recognized as the top criminal justice student during his studies at St. Edward's, he took significant strides toward achieving his dreams when he enrolled at St. Mary's University School of Law. During law school, Sergio participated in the esteemed Clinical Program as a student attorney and embraced the opportunity for hands-on advocacy while assisting clients through complex legal matters. He began his professional journey as a prosecuting attorney with the Webb County District Attorney’s office under Joe Rubio’s leadership and quickly advanced within that role until being named Chief Prosecutor for the 49th District Court by Isidro "Chilo" Alaniz—successfully managing several high-profile prosecutions with favorable outcomes for juries along the way. Throughout nearly ten years there, Sergio gained valuable insights into Webb County’s judicial system while building excellent relationships with local judges and court staff. In 2012, after this impactful tenure with the DA's office ended on high notes of success behind him; he established The Law Office of Sergio Lozano—defending numerous clients against various criminal allegations while also securing millions in compensation for individuals injured due to negligence—all fuelled by an unwavering commitment to justice learned throughout both life experiences leading up till now: dedication remains paramount across every case handled since founding their own practice!
