Lorie Savin is running for the vacant judicial position on the Oakland County Circuit Court. With nearly 25 years of experience in family law, Ms. Savin has earned numerous accolades as a highly regarded referee during her 17 years dedicated to serving both the Court and families in Oakland County. She is not only a published author focused on family law and ethics but also an influential public speaker who addresses these topics widely. As President of the Referees Association of Michigan, she plays a crucial role in shaping judicial practices. Furthermore, Ms. Savin serves as an appointee to both the Judicial Ethics Committee and Professionalism Workgroup at the State Bar of Michigan. Raised in Oak Park and Southfield with experiences from local public schools, Ms. Savin holds degrees from both the University of Michigan and Wayne State University Law School. Residing in West Bloomfield with her husband Adam Larky and their two daughters, she actively contributes to community initiatives including volunteer efforts at local educational institutions while being an engaged member at Temple Israel.
