Karen Solis-Murphy is a dedicated immigration lawyer based in New York and the visionary behind the Solis & Murphy Law Group, PLLC. With a focus on Immigration and Nationality Law, she passionately defends the rights of immigrants while also bringing her expertise to family law matters. As a Peruvian American who immigrated to the United States at just ten years old, Karen has personally experienced the challenges faced by immigrant families. These experiences motivated her pursuit of a legal career aimed at empowering those who lack representation. After earning her degree from law school in 2016, Karen was selected for an esteemed judicial clerkship with the U.S. Department of Justice via their Attorney General Honors Program (Class of 2016). In this role, she supported Immigration Judges within New York's courts during critical deportation cases. Following that position, she worked as an Asylum Officer at the New York Asylum Office after completing rigorous training offered by Homeland Security’s Directorate for Asylum and International Operations in 2018. Subsequently spending four years as a supervisory litigation attorney at another private firm in NYC allowed Karen to represent numerous clients successfully before both USCIS and various immigration courts across New York; players from multiple countries including Ecuadorian nationals to Bangladeshi individuals benefited from her guidance during complex processes involving asylum claims or waivers among others—and all thoroughly benefitting due strongly high win rates that many would deem challenging or even impossible against immense odds.
