About
Founded 1982
Victor M. Glasberg & Associates is a dedicated plaintiffs' federal litigation firm, established in 1982, that specializes in civil rights and public interest advocacy. Notably distinguished as the only law firm from Virginia recognized in U.S. News and World Report’s current ranking of top national firms for civil rights cases, we also engage in general plaintiff litigation on occasion. In unusual instances where we find the plaintiff's claim to be seemingly baseless or abusive, we have represented defendants as well.
Primarily operating within the Alexandria federal court system, our expertise extends across numerous state and federal courts throughout Virginia, Washington D.C., and Maryland—often collaborating with local legal counsel when necessary.
Our firm maintains a strong partnership with the Virginia branch of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and has successfully managed numerous cases on their behalf over time. We have previously partnered with organizations such as the NAACP’s local chapter, Bazelon Center for Mental Health Law, Washington Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights & Urban Affairs , National Prison Project of ACLU , Disability Rights Education & Defense Fund , CASA of Maryland , Tenants & Workers United , Mexicans Without Borders along with various other public interest groups .
