Willenbring, Dahl, Wocken & Zimmermann, PLLC has deep roots that date back to 1932 when Fran Russell founded the original firm. In the early '50s Joe Willenbring joined forces with Fran Russell; this partnership led them to adopt the name Russell & Willenbring. The firm saw further evolution in 1974 when Kirby Dahl became an associate under what was then known as Willenbring & Lickteig; by 1976 he was made partner leading to a rebranding as Willenbring, Lickteig & Dahl. The late '70s brought Paul Wocken on board followed by Dan Zimmermann in ’82 and Mark McKeon two years later. Following Joe Willenbring’s retirement from active practice in ‘88—which was also highlighted by Kirby Dahl’s elevation of partnership alongside Paul Wocken and Dan Zimmermann—the name transitioned into its current form: Willenbring, Dahl,Wocken & Zimmermann. In our continuous growth journey since then we welcomed John Neal within our ranks in ’08 along with Kelly Springer (2011), Boe Piras (2013), and Laura Martin (2018). Our capable support staff of eight plays an essential role behind-the-scenes ensuring smooth operations across our various practices.
