The Work/Environment Law Group is dedicated to assisting clients with legal challenges related to energy and the environment, spearheaded by founding partner Richard (Rick) Raushenbush for environmental matters, and Barbara Giuffre for employment law issues. With more than two decades of specialization in energy and environmental law, Rick brings a wealth of experience to the table. Prior to establishing the Work/Environment Law Group, he was an equity partner at Latham & Watkins—an esteemed global law firm—in both their Environment, Land & Resources Department as well as their Litigation Department. Further enriching his background, he held the position of Vice-President and General Counsel at GreenVolts, Inc., a pioneering solar energy startup. Throughout his career, Rick has provided counsel to both large corporations and small enterprises on diverse issues ranging from strategic guidance and litigation in federal/state courts to administrative reviews before regulatory bodies like the California Public Utilities Commission. Known for his commitment toward innovative legal solutions paired with diligent effort; Rick is eager to assist businesses interested in engaging with energy policies or facing litigation concerning contaminated lands or toxic torts under Proposition 65 claims. He also aims to combat climate change through conservation efforts by offering pro bono services when fitting cases arise.
