Justin Bowler- Toronto
*Justin Bowler no longer works at ClearWay Law
Justin Bowler has joined ClearWay Law as a contractor. Once the board of directors agrees on a technology plan, Justin as the CTO will go to work on developing the project.
I am a highly experienced technology leader, having worked in several companies over almost 30 years. Having worked in various sectors including social media, health care, insurance, investment, banking, networking, nuclear reactors, and even internet gambling.
It is great to be on the ClearWay team working towards the first public law firm in North America. It will take a lot of work, but I am sure we will get there.
I have expertise in all aspects of engineering, operations, procurement, recruitment and budgeting. This wide breadth of knowledge enables me to consistently build high quality products while also delivering efficient technology management to support the business.
Firstly, I specialize in enabling small-to-medium sized companies to scale up their development, delivery, and operational capabilities. I maintain a focus on modern technologies including machine learning, cloud deployment, and distributed agile teams. These are all common and necessary pieces for today’s innovative application platforms which frequently have very large operational datasets and a globally distributed customer base that demands 7-24 access and a smooth user experience.
I take a holistic approach, focusing not only on the direct aspects of technology, but also ensuring that the marketing and business processes are properly aligned and that implementation and operation is cost appropriate. I am well versed in the financial aspects of modern companies, including budgeting, forecasting, and business analysis. Further, over the years I have been involved in three companies going public on US and Canadian exchanges.
I received my Bachelor’s of Applied Science from the University of Toronto in 1993. I studied Aerospace Engineering, Robotics, and Manufacturing. Outside of work, I manage and coach in the local youth soccer league. I sit on the parent council for my children’s middle school. I also have performed extensive renovations on my house. Further, I enjoy working on my car – a classic 1964 Mustang convertible.
Justin Bowler is based in Toronto, Canada.
