My husband and I are in the process of a separation, and as stated in our signed separation agreement, we need to divide the ownership of two residential properties that we currently co-own. This is not part of a sale or purchase, but rather a simple transfer of ownership as per the agreement, which was signed in front of our respective lawyers. We are both listed on the title for each property, and we need assistance in transferring ownership so that one property is solely in my name, and the other in his. One property has a mortgage with TD, and the other has a HELOC (Home Equity Line of Credit) with TD, which we are working with a TD advisor to update accordingly.
