Ivana Covic

In 2020, Ivana Covic became a distinguished member of the Alberta Bar, joining the esteemed ranks at Kahane Law's Family team. Her legal journey, rooted in a deep-seated commitment to family law, began after her graduation from Thompson Rivers University's Faculty of Law in Kamloops, British Columbia, in 2019. Ivana's foundational years in family law were shaped in the heart of Calgary, within a boutique firm dedicated to this intricate area of practice. Here, she honed her skills, appearing with success before both the Provincial Court and the Court of Queen's Bench of Alberta.

Before her foray into the legal field, Ivana pursued and completed dual degrees in Psychology and Education at St. Mary’s University, Calgary. Her role as an educator with the Calgary Board of Education, coupled with her legal acumen, offers a rare and valuable perspective to her practice in family law, especially in cases involving children. Ivana believes in the power of resolution and the importance of prioritizing children's well-being amidst parental conflicts.
