Greg has become a name synonymous with excellence in the field of estate litigation since joining the Alberta Bar back in 2020. He's carved out a niche for himself, dealing with the complex intricacies of executor misconduct, cases of mental incapacity, undue influence, as well as adult guardianship and trusteeship disputes. Greg’s courtroom prowess is notable, having represented clients successfully at both the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta and the Court of Appeal of Alberta. But what truly sets him apart is his dedication to guiding clients through the storm, helping them plot a course in challenging situations within his specialty.

Outside the courtroom battles, Greg dedicates his expertise to estate planning and administration, seamlessly integrating considerations like real estate, tax, and corporate planning into his counsel. His commitment to professional growth is evident as he works towards his Trust and Estate Practitioner designation from the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), signaling his deep dive into the world of trust and estate administration.

A recent Calgary transplant, Greg has quickly embedded himself in the community, notably through his support and contributions to the Salvation Army. Beyond his professional commitments, Greg treasures the time spent reading, hitting the golf links, and exploring the great outdoors with his family.

His academic journey, which took him from Queen’s University where he majored in Economics, to Bond University for his JD, and through the Canadian Securities Course, laid a solid foundation for his legal career. Since stepping into his role in Alberta, Greg has made significant legal marks, including notable cases like the validation of a non-compliant will in Mackasey Estate (Re), navigating beneficiary designations in Slater Estate (Re), defending decisions in Gordon v Cote at the Court of Appeal, and achieving a summary judgement in Gordon Estate (Re).
