Raised in the Northwest Territories, Arlene began her career as a deputy sheriff in Red Deer. She received conflict resolution training while working for the Government of the NWT and later earned her law degree from the University of Calgary. Admitted to the Alberta bar in 2006 and the NWT bar in 2010, Arlene has since built a diverse practice spanning Wills and Estates, Adult Guardianship, Real Estate, arbitration, and administrative law.
A seasoned member of the Alberta Arbitration and Mediation Society since 1994, Arlene has served as an Arbitrator for the Canadian Motor Vehicle Arbitration Plan for over two decades. In 2012, she attained chartered arbitrator status from the Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute of Canada, further solidifying her expertise in dispute resolution. With a wealth of experience, Arlene has presided over numerous administrative tribunals at both municipal and provincial levels, contributing to over 300 written decisions on a wide range of legal matters.
