Claire Plett

Growing up in Calgary, K. Claire Plett always had a passion for the law. After completing her Bachelor of Arts at the University of Alberta, where she excelled in history and classics, Claire pursued her legal education in Cardiff, Wales.

During her time at Cardiff University, Claire was actively involved in the Law Society, honing her skills and knowledge in various legal disciplines. After being called to the Bar in 2016, Claire wasted no time in joining Ellis Legal Group, where she has since become an integral part of the team.

Claire's practice areas include family law, estate planning, and estate litigation, where she brings her unique blend of expertise and compassion to every case she handles.

Outside of her legal career, Claire is a true performer at heart. She enjoys acting, playing the piano, composing music, singing, and dancing. You might even spot her volunteering with community theater groups or lending her talents to events like the Okotoks Film Festival.

In addition to her professional commitments, Claire remains actively involved in the legal community through her memberships in the Law Society of Alberta, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Association of Women Lawyers. She also finds time to give back to the community through her volunteer work with Calgary Legal Guidance and as a piano accompanist for the Czech Catholic Mission.
