Since my call to the Alberta Bar in 2003, I have been deeply involved in legal matters representing diverse clientele, including large corporations, midsize companies, and private equity-backed firms.

My educational background includes a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Ottawa, which I obtained in 2002. Throughout my career, I have maintained active membership in several professional associations, including the Canadian Bar Association, Calgary Bar Association, Law Society of Alberta, Association of Women Lawyers, and the South Asian Bar Association (North America).

In my capacity as legal counsel, I have undertaken numerous significant engagements. These include representing various entities in complex transactions such as securities offerings, financings, asset acquisitions and dispositions, regulatory compliance, employment issues, incentive compensation structuring, strategic deals, and cross-border transactions.

Furthermore, I have served as a corporate secretary for numerous publicly listed and private companies, limited partnerships, and non-profit organizations. My role involves providing invaluable corporate governance advice and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

One of my notable representations includes acting on behalf of GOLO Mobile Inc., a publicly traded company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange. In this capacity, I facilitated a $4 million private placement financing, navigated asset sale negotiations, and provided legal counsel on related-party transactions.

In the energy sector, I have represented both private and publicly listed oil and gas companies in various legal matters. This includes facilitating share exchange transactions, listings on stock exchanges, bond offerings, regulatory compliance, and complex financing arrangements.

Additionally, my portfolio includes representing private equity-backed entities in multimillion-dollar acquisitions and divestitures. These transactions involved meticulous structuring of share purchase agreements, asset acquisitions, and financing arrangements to ensure favorable outcomes for my clients.

I have served as a director on the Calgary Stampede Board of Directors, contributed as Vice Chair and Director of the Calgary Public Library Foundation Board of Directors, and participated in various committees aimed at community development and charitable endeavors.
