Brett Nguyen

Brett's legal expertise spans a wide spectrum, focusing on intricate commercial and construction litigation, alongside significant roles in both domestic and international arbitration and litigation scenarios. Her involvement in disputes over major infrastructure projects, alongside managing lien claims and Public Works Act claims, underscores her proficiency in construction law.

Her practice also covers representing entities in the oil and gas sectors and various Canadian corporations facing a multitude of disputes. These range from contractual disagreements and shareholder disputes to matters concerning director and officer liability, alongside securities, intellectual property, product liability, negligence, and labor, employment, and human rights issues.

Brett's courtroom experience is extensive, having represented clients in front of the Alberta Court of Appeal, the Court of King's Bench of Alberta, and the Provincial Court of Alberta, showcasing her adept litigation skills.

Her journey in law began with a summer and articling position at BLG, after completing her Bachelor of Arts (Hons) at the University of Toronto and her Juris Doctor at the University of Calgary. Enhancing her legal education, Brett has pursued additional qualifications in mediation and arbitration through Osgoode Hall School of Law and the Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute of Canada.

Admitted to the Alberta bar in 2020, Brett's burgeoning career is marked by her diverse legal education and her growing experience in handling complex legal disputes across various sectors.
