5 out of 5 stars

I recently had the pleasure of working with Mark Kolapak on a pretty complex financing deal that involved multiple parties across borders, and let me just say, Mark is the real deal. Our company, based right here in Calgary, was navigating through an acquisition that had us tied up with partners in both the US and Europe. The financial intricacies of this deal were something else, but Mark handled everything with such ease and professionalism.

His experience in both domestic and cross-border transactions really shone through. We had meetings in some of the boardrooms overlooking Stephen Avenue, and despite the high stakes, Mark always came in calm, collected, and ready with solutions. It was clear he wasn't just any lawyer; his background working with international law firms has given him an edge that's hard to find.

What really set Mark apart for me was his ability to make complex legal jargon understandable for us non-lawyers. He guided us through the entire process, from the initial stages of the bilateral agreements to the final touches on the project financing, ensuring we were on solid ground every step of the way. It didn't matter if we were discussing things in our office near the Bow River or over calls with partners in different time zones; Mark was always accessible and ready to help.
