Mary earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Windsor back in 2010. During her time there, she remained active within the community, serving as a case worker at the Community Legal Aid Office and conducting research for Pro Bono Student’s Canada. Additionally, she completed a successful mediation program.
Following graduation, Mary embarked on her articling journey at a national law firm. This opportunity allowed her to delve into various legal realms, including business, intellectual property, and advocacy. In 2011, she gained admission to both the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Law Society of Alberta.
Mary's career trajectory led her to work as in-house counsel and later in private practice. Despite her diverse experiences, Mary felt drawn to family law, seeing it as the avenue through which she could truly make a difference in people's lives every day.
Throughout her career, Mary has appeared in various courts, including the Alberta Court of Justice, Court of King’s Bench of Alberta, and Court of Appeal of Alberta. Her practice spans a wide spectrum of family law issues, encompassing child support, spousal support, parenting, and property division.
As a trained mediator, Mary facilitates constructive dialogue between disputing parties, striving to achieve mutually beneficial resolutions in an equitable, efficient, and confidential manner. Today, Mary dedicates her practice exclusively to family and divorce law, embodying her commitment to helping individuals navigate challenging life transitions with compassion and expertise.
