Miguel Mejia

Miguel Mejia is a seasoned legal professional who specializes in Divorce, Family Law, and Residential Real Estate Law. His extensive experience encompasses resolving post-separation issues such as divorce, custody, child support, and matrimonial property.

With a commitment to serving diverse clientele, Miguel assists individuals residing in foreign jurisdictions, including the United States, Russia, Australia, and Mexico, whenever feasible.

Utilizing mediation, arbitration, and parenting coordination, Miguel helps clients navigate through challenging high-conflict matters. He also possesses significant litigation experience in both the Provincial Court of Alberta and the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta.

Having completed his undergraduate studies at Simon Fraser University in 2003, Miguel pursued his LL.B. at the University of Saskatchewan, graduating in 2007. During his articling period at Salmon & Company and Squire Law, he gained exposure to various legal domains, particularly Civil Litigation, Taxation, and Business Law, with a primary focus on Family and Divorce Law. Under the mentorship of esteemed lawyers David Salmon and Gord Squire, Miguel honed his legal skills and knowledge.

Becoming a member of the Law Society of Alberta in October 2008 marked the initiation of Miguel's career in Divorce, Family Law, and related fields. Alongside his practice in Divorce and Family Law, he ventured into Residential Real Estate, broadening his legal expertise and scope of services.
