Hailing from Calgary, Alberta, Ms. Hendrix embarked on her academic journey at St. Francis High School, concluding in 1984. She then pursued a Bachelor of Education at the University of Calgary, graduating in 1988, before diving into law to earn her Bachelor of Laws from the same institution in 1991. The following year marked her admission into the Law Society of Alberta, setting the stage for a distinguished legal career.

Her professional path began at Davidson & Williams in Lethbridge, Alberta, where she honed her skills in litigation, foreclosures, real estate, and estate work as an associate lawyer. After two years, she returned to Calgary to join Fleming Kambeitz, focusing on corporate/commercial litigation and other commercial matters until 1996.

A significant leap in her career came in 1997 when Ms. Hendrix became an associate at Vickers & Associates, eventually ascending to partner status. The firm evolved into Vickers Hendrix LLP in 2009 and was renamed Hendrix Law in 2014, marking her growing influence in the legal field.

Ms. Hendrix dedicates herself to mentoring lawyers in Foreclosure and Real Estate Law, sharing her expertise through lectures and seminars across various platforms, including the Legal Education Society of Alberta and the Canadian Centre for Professional Legal Education. She's also contributed her knowledge to members of the Appraisal Institute of Canada, lending institutions, the Calgary Real Estate Board, and the Alberta Mortgage Brokerage Association. Her involvement extended to teaching at Mount Royal College (now Mount Royal University), enriching the Mortgage Brokerage course for over a decade.

A respected member of several legal associations, including the Calgary Bar Association and the Law Society of Alberta, Ms. Hendrix has also been recognized in the Northwest Territories, Nunavut, and Yukon. Her commitment to community and professional development is further evidenced by her establishment of scholarships aimed at fostering life balance, athletic, and academic excellence among junior high and high school students in Calgary.

Ms. Hendrix has played a pivotal role in the evolution of foreclosure practice in Alberta, collaborating with the Alberta Bar and Masters in Chambers to refine precedents, practices, and procedures. Her practice now predominantly focuses on litigation, commercial and residential real estate, and foreclosures, serving a diverse clientele including National Banks, Trust Companies, and Private Lenders, in addition to handling Wills and Estates.

Her dedication to excellence and service was recognized in 2017 when she received the partner award from the Alberta Mortgage Brokers Association (AMBA), a testament to her outstanding customer service and contributions towards the betterment of the industry. An active member of the Appraisal Institute of Canada, Ms. Hendrix's career reflects a relentless pursuit of legal mastery and an unwavering commitment to the communities she serves.
