Codie, an integral member of the Research & Opinions Group, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the table. With a knack for distilling complex legal issues into concise and persuasive memos, opinions, and arguments, she navigates a diverse array of topics with finesse.

Her repertoire spans statutory interpretation, Charter issues, quasi-criminal matters, bankruptcy, fraud, and tort, showcasing her versatility and depth of legal acumen. Notably, Codie's role extends beyond the confines of the office, as she imparts her wisdom and knowledge through teaching advanced legal research and writing at the University of Calgary.

Prior to her tenure at Lawson Lundell LLP, Codie served as legal counsel to the Alberta Court of Appeal. This invaluable experience equipped her with a unique perspective on appellate advocacy and judicial review, honing her skills in navigating the intricacies of higher-level legal proceedings.

Currently enrolled in a graduate diploma program for legislative drafting, Codie undergoes advanced training in crafting a variety of official documents for government and quasi-government bodies. This additional expertise further enhances her ability to provide comprehensive legal services to clients across various sectors.

In addition to her professional pursuits, Codie is an active member of the legal community, holding memberships in esteemed organizations such as the Law Society of Alberta, the Canadian Bar Association's Legislation and Law Reform Committee, the Canadian Institute for the Administration of Justice, and Alberta Women Lawyers.
