Claudia Honetschlaeger

Claudia, serving as an Associate within the Banking & Finance group in Calgary, is swiftly establishing a comprehensive corporate law practice. Her expertise encompasses a wide spectrum of banking and finance, along with commercial transactions.

Her capabilities extend to managing a variety of financing arrangements, including both domestic and international, bilateral and syndicated deals. Claudia represents a mix of agents, lenders, and borrowers in these dealings. Her experience isn't limited to financing; it also spans leasing, mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, and day-to-day corporate and commercial matters.

Before her current role at Fasken, Claudia gained valuable experience at a well-known Calgary law firm, following her graduation from the University of Calgary’s Faculty of Law. She also brings insights from her time as a summer law student in-house at an energy company, enriching her understanding of the industry's legal challenges.

Claudia's involvement in significant transactions, such as advising Dessercom on its strategic acquisition of Airmedic and guiding Sassy Resources through the sale of its subsidiary to Galloper Gold Corporation, showcases her adeptness in navigating complex deals. Her work with Westgen Technologies on securing private equity financing and assisting Aris Gold Corporation with its venture in Colombia further illustrates her capability in facilitating crucial business strategies.

Her educational background, with a JD from the University of Calgary and a BSc in Biology from the same institution, provides a solid foundation for her legal practice.
