Steve Myles

Steve Myles, a dynamic attorney with the litigation and dispute resolution team in Calgary, has built a career marked by a broad spectrum of legal experience and a deep commitment to justice. His journey in law commenced after earning a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with Distinction from the University of Calgary, an achievement complemented by his inclusion on the Dean's List, underscoring his academic excellence.

Following his undergraduate studies, Steve ventured to the University of Toronto's Faculty of Law, where he further honed his legal acumen. His time in law school was characterized by a deep engagement with community service, notably through his role at Downtown Legal Services in Toronto. There, he dedicated himself to serving low-income individuals, primarily focusing on housing law disputes, which included advocating before the Landlord and Tenant Board through both written submissions and oral arguments.

Steve's passion for social justice was also evident in his work with the PBSC Union-Side Labour Project. He meticulously analyzed decisions from the WSIAT to uncover patterns of worker marginalization, showcasing his dedication to labor rights. Before embarking on his law school journey, Steve gained substantial real-world experience in the automotive industry, where he spent over five years working with two major vehicle manufacturers. During law school, Steve continued to build his professional experience with summer positions at a regional law firm in Calgary, further grounding his expertise in the practical aspects of law.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Steve is an avid adventurer, with a love for both indoor and outdoor rock climbing, skiing, and backpacking across the globe. These pursuits not only speak to his dynamic personality but also his ability to tackle challenges head-on, a trait that translates into his legal practice.
