Anna Kosa

Anna Kosa brings a wealth of experience to Miller Thomson's litigation group, specializing in a wide range of commercial and civil litigation matters. From contract disputes to negligence claims, Anna is dedicated to delivering practical and efficient legal solutions for her clients.

Anna's commitment to thought leadership is evident through her speaking engagements and research endeavors. She presented her research on food insecurity in Canada's Arctic at the 2017 Polar Law Symposium in Rovaniemi, Finland. Additionally, she was invited to speak at Colgate University in New York about the impact of learning a new language in university and shared insights gained from her internship at the United Nations Development Programme in Kathmandu, Nepal.

During her time in law school, Anna served as President of Level, a human rights club, and actively participated in the university's pro bono program. Her dedication to community involvement extends to her roles in organizations such as Pro-bono Students Canada and Oxfam Canada.

In recognition of her achievements, Anna received the Davies Corporate/Securities Law Moot 3rd place nationwide and the Colgate University Italian Excellence Award in 2014. She also consistently made the Dean's List from 2012 to 2014 during her undergraduate studies at Colgate University.

As a member of the Law Society of Alberta, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Calgary Bar Association, Anna continues to uphold the highest standards of professionalism in her practice. With fluency in both English and Italian, Anna is well-equipped to serve a diverse clientele.

Anna obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Calgary in 2019 and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Colgate University, graduating in 2014. She was admitted to the Alberta Bar in 2020, marking the beginning of her successful legal career.
