Shannon Houston, a proficient immigration lawyer collaborating with the team at Miller Thomson, ensures the effective management of her clients' corporate immigration affairs.

Handling various Canadian business immigration requirements, Shannon aids clients with Labour Market Impact Assessment applications, work permit applications (including NAFTA, intracompany transfers, and LMIA-based work permit applications), and permanent residence applications for the family and economic classes.

Before pursuing law, Shannon garnered invaluable insight into immigration needs from the client's standpoint while working in the human resources department of an international oilfield services company in Calgary, Alberta.

Shannon's journey into law commenced with articling at a boutique human resources law firm in Calgary, followed by her tenure at Miller Thomson starting in 2013. She holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Management from the University of Lethbridge with a double major in Human Resource Management & Labour Relations and International Business.
