Eugene's involvement in rodeo dates back to the founding of the Blood Reserve Rodeo Club in 1978, aimed at nurturing the rodeo talents and social skills of youth on the Blood Tribe Reserve. Over the years, he has clinched regional titles in steer wrestling and team roping, earning qualifications for the prestigious Indian National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, NV. His remarkable contributions to the sport culminated in his induction into the INFR Hall of Fame in 2019.
