Anita Nowinka

Anita, a valued associate at Carbert Waite LLP, embarked on her legal journey with the firm, initiating her career through a comprehensive articling period before being officially admitted to the Alberta bar in the mid-year of 2021. Holding a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Alberta's Law Faculty and a Bachelor of Science degree specialized in Environmental and Conservation Sciences with a focus on Land Reclamation, her academic pursuits have provided a solid foundation for her legal career. Before her law studies, Anita engaged in significant work with Environment and Climate Change Canada, where she played a pivotal role in the regulatory oversight of extensive resource development projects.

Her legal expertise is extensive, covering various areas with a particular emphasis on defending medical malpractice claims, managing estate administration and litigation, and addressing a spectrum of employment issues. Anita's proficiency extends across multiple legal settings in Alberta, including diverse courts, mediations, human rights conciliations, and arbitrations.
