Jaclyn Hesje

Jaclyn Hesje-Platis contributes significantly to our energy and infrastructure M&A team, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise.

Joining our Calgary office as a summer student in 2011, Ms. Hesje-Platis has since established herself as a valued member of our corporate and commercial law practice. Her background spans a diverse range of infrastructure and energy-related matters, including mergers and acquisitions, asset transactions, and regulatory affairs.

With a keen eye for detail, Ms. Hesje-Platis has played an integral role in various energy-related and non-energy-related transactions. Her responsibilities have encompassed conducting thorough due diligence, drafting transactional documents, and negotiating agreements.

In addition to her transactional work, Ms. Hesje-Platis is adept at advising on commercial agreements, such as supply and master services agreements, and providing counsel on general corporate matters.

Notably, Ms. Hesje-Platis brings a unique perspective to her practice, having spent eight months on secondment with a significant TSX-listed energy company as interim legal counsel.

Prior to pursuing her legal career, Ms. Hesje-Platis accrued five years of experience in general and contract administration within the engineering, construction, and oil and gas sectors. Her hands-on experience in these industries, both locally and internationally, provides her with invaluable insights into the complexities of the field.

With a J.D. from the University of Saskatchewan and a B.A. from McGill University, Ms. Hesje-Platis is admitted to practice law in Alberta since 2013. Her diverse educational background and professional experiences underscore her ability to deliver comprehensive legal solutions to our clients.
