James Farrell

James Farrell is a seasoned corporate and commercial lawyer with a wealth of experience in various facets of corporate law. Specializing in corporate finance, securities, mergers and acquisitions, and private equity, James is adept at navigating complex transactions and providing strategic legal advice to clients.

Having started his legal career as a summer student at our Calgary office, James quickly demonstrated his aptitude for corporate law. Prior to joining us, he honed his skills in account management and business development at a digital media company, gaining valuable insights into client relations and business dynamics.

Throughout his career, James has successfully advised both domestic and international clients on a wide range of transactions, including public and private M&A deals, corporate restructuring, private equity and venture capital investments, and equity and debt offerings. His expertise extends to corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and general corporate matters, making him a trusted advisor to his clients.

With a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Victoria, James brings a strong academic background to his practice.
