Matthew Longstaff brings a wealth of experience to his role, advising a diverse range of clients in cross-border debt financings and mergers and acquisitions. His expertise spans high-yield bonds, syndicated bank financings, project financings, and securitizations.

With a background in financial services, energy, mining, technology, shipping, and aviation sectors, Mr. Longstaff offers comprehensive legal counsel tailored to each client's unique needs.

Having practiced in both English and French law, Mr. Longstaff is qualified in England & Wales and is a member of the Alberta bar. He joined Norton Rose Fulbright's London office in 2015 before relocating to Calgary in 2016.

His educational background includes a Master in Laws from Université de Paris I, Panthéon-Sorbonne, and an LL.B. in English and French law from King’s College, University of London/Université de Paris I, Panthéon-Sorbonne. With his diverse experience and international qualifications, Mr. Longstaff continues to provide exceptional legal services to clients in the energy, infrastructure, and financial sectors.
