David Wahl

With a background in the construction industry, David Wahl tackles intricate international arbitration cases. He specializes in disputes concerning construction, fabrication, and manufacturing, leveraging his prior executive roles. Utilizing his project management skills gained from overseeing large-scale projects globally, David efficiently organizes and leads his legal teams.

Apart from representing clients in court and arbitral tribunals, David offers strategic counsel on impending disputes in construction, fabrication, and manufacturing projects. His expertise extends to handling builders' lien disputes and Public Works Act claims.

David serves as counsel for major institutional clients embroiled in complex multi-party litigation and international commercial arbitration. He has appeared as litigation counsel in Alberta's courts and as arbitration counsel under prestigious international rule systems like ICC, LCIA, and UNCITRAL, along with numerous ad hoc arbitrations.

David holds a BA in Political Science with first-class honors from the University of Calgary and a JD with cum laude distinction from the University of Ottawa. He is admitted to the bar in Alberta since 2014 and British Columbia since 2021.
