Jaspreet Singh

Jaspreet boasts a diverse commercial litigation practice, with a rising emphasis on medical malpractice and professional negligence cases.

In commercial litigation, Jaspreet handles a wide range of complex disputes, including contractual disagreements, civil fraud recovery, and securities litigation. She has particular expertise in shareholder disputes, breach of fiduciary duty, and actions brought by securities regulators. Her experience extends to commercial disputes within the energy sector and large-scale construction projects.

Focusing on medical malpractice and professional negligence, Jaspreet represents physicians facing lawsuits and disciplinary matters before the courts and various administrative bodies.

Additionally, Jaspreet has tackled serious personal injury claims and collections matters, showcasing her versatility in legal matters.

Throughout her career, Jaspreet has navigated cases before the Alberta Court of Justice, the Alberta Court of Queen's Bench, and the Alberta Court of Appeal, as well as administrative tribunals such as the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta and Alberta Securities Commission. She has also contributed to cases submitted to domestic and international arbitration.

Active within the legal community, Jaspreet is a member of the Calgary Bar Association, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Advocates' Society. She also serves as a Moot Coach for the Health Law Moot at the University of Calgary Law School.

Before joining the firm as an associate, Jaspreet gained valuable experience through summering and articling positions. During law school, she engaged in Pro-Bono Students Canada initiatives and held the role of VP External for the Women in Leadership Executive Team.

Prior to embarking on her legal career, Jaspreet served as a public policy advisor for a Calgary-based business association, rounding out her expertise with a multidisciplinary approach.

Jaspreet's educational background includes a BHSc in Health and Society, a Master in Public Policy, and a Juris Doctor degree, all obtained from the University of Calgary. She was admitted to the Alberta Bar in 2018, marking the beginning of her impactful legal journey.
