At Lenczner Slaght, Amber is forging a path as an associate with her practice spanning the realms of intellectual property and commercial litigation. She has effectively managed disputes across several sectors including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, life sciences, chemistry, telecommunications, technology, and oil and gas.

Before her current role, Amber was part of the intellectual property litigation team at a large international law firm based in Calgary and completed her early legal training at a top national intellectual property boutique.

Amber's academic journey includes a BSc in Chemistry from Saint Mary's University followed by an MSc in Chemistry from the University of British Columbia, where her research focused on enhancing the efficacy of dye-sensitized solar cells. Her post-academic career saw her teaching chemistry at Simon Fraser University and diving into the marketing sphere within a leading Canadian biotechnology firm.

Her legal acumen has been demonstrated in several noteworthy cases, such as representing Gilead Sciences in multiple Notice of Compliance (NOC) actions related to Canadian Patents in the Federal Court. She has also served as counsel for Sunovion Pharmaceuticals in NOC actions concerning LATUDA (lurasidone), a medication for bipolar disorder and schizophrenia, prior to her tenure at Lenczner Slaght.

Amber's expertise encompasses intellectual property, commercial litigation, injunctions, and appeals. Her legal credentials were solidified with Bar admissions in Alberta in 2021 and Ontario in 2022. Her educational background is robust, marked by a JD from the University of Calgary in 2020, an MSc in Chemistry from the University of British Columbia in 2015, and a BSc in Chemistry from Saint Mary's University in 2012.
