Jessica Brown

Jessica Brown is an accomplished partner at Cassels in the Business Law Group, focusing on securities and corporate law. Her expertise spans mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, shareholder activism, governance, and general corporate matters.

Jessica serves as a trusted advisor to issuers and dealers, guiding them through securities and governance matters, IPOs, capital markets transactions, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Her commercial insights enable her to deliver practical solutions to complex transactions.

She is actively involved in industry committees, including the TSX Venture Exchange’s Alberta Local Advisory Committee and the Alberta Securities Commission’s Securities Advisory Committee. Jessica is also a member of the Alberta Bar Association, Canadian Bar Association, and Calgary Bar Association.

Jessica's recent experience includes advising on significant transactions such as Suncor Energy Inc.'s $3.6 billion tender offer of notes, Exterran Corporation's US$735 million merger with Enerflex Ltd., and Brookfield Infrastructure Partners L.P.'s $16 billion acquisition of Inter Pipeline Ltd.

Before joining Cassels, Jessica was a partner at another national law firm in Calgary, where she honed her skills in corporate law.
