Sunil Joneja

Sunil Joneja, a partner at Cassels in the Banking & Specialty Finance Group, brings a wealth of experience to the table. His expertise lies in representing and advising various entities, including borrowers, banks, and financial institutions, on a wide array of transactions.

With a focus on both domestic and cross-border syndicated and bilateral debt financings, Sunil specializes in areas such as asset-based lending, project finance, real estate and construction finance, and more. He's recognized as a leader in his field by prestigious publications like Lexpert and Best Lawyers in Canada.

Sunil's expertise also extends to derivatives, including over-the-counter commodity, cross-currency, and interest rate hedging transactions.

Before joining Cassels, Sunil served as a partner at a global firm's Calgary office, further enhancing his experience and skills in the legal field.

His educational background includes an LL.M. from the University of Manchester, LL.B. from the University of Victoria, and B.A. from the University of British Columbia. He's admitted to the bar in British Columbia, England & Wales, and Alberta.
