David Younggren, with his extensive experience in civil litigation, has been a cornerstone at DBB Law since 1988. After completing his articling under Chief Justice Laycraft at the Alberta Court of Appeal, he swiftly rose to become a partner in 1993.
David's practice encompasses a wide range of civil litigation areas, including corporate contractual disputes, shareholder conflicts, wrongful dismissal cases, real estate disputes, builders’ liens, and collections. His impressive track record includes successful appearances at all levels of the Court, including a notable victory in the Supreme Court of Canada on a criminal appeal case (R. v. Egger).
Beyond his legal practice, David is deeply involved in community service. He has served as Chair of the Alberta Association of Police Governance and has dedicated over five years to the Calgary Police Commission. Additionally, he has chaired the Legal Aid Society of Alberta and contributed as a Director of the Elizabeth Fry Society of Calgary. David remains an active member, speaker, and organizer for the Canadian Bar Association, demonstrating his commitment to the legal profession and community welfare.
